who  we are

From Jersey to Georgia, the journey is one for the ages...

Matt and Samantha come from diverse backgrounds; Matt from policing in Georgia for 20 years, the majority handling and training Police K9s and Samantha from Wall Street, passionately training dogs in her down time and studying under career dog trainers. Sam also found her passion in Search and Rescue and is an active member of Alpha Team K9 Search and Rescue.

You may be asking yourself, "How does a girl from New Jersey and a cop from Georgia end up opening a Working K9 Kennel and Dog Treat Company?" The answer is simple, with a passion for K9 training, a love of all dogs and an even bigger love for each other, plus a little help from TikTok, anything is possible. Just ask them about their story, they'll happily recount the early days of this big dream.

Through opening their dog rescue, working K9 kennel and offering dog training in their community, Matt and Sam kept running into the same problem. The dog treats on the market just weren't up to the standards they wanted for their furry friends and K9 partners. Freeze dried raw seemed to be the newest fad and on the surface, that seemed perfect. What's better than a high value, raw meat, single ingredient treat? Nothing. Except Matt and Sam weren't able to find the source of the product on most commercial treat bags. What farm did the meat come from? What were the farming practices used? Was the product 100% made in the US? They knew all of the dogs in their care deserved only the best and the current items on the market weren't it.

Armed with the knowledge that there were very few sustainable, clean dog treats on the market, they set out to create their own.  Together, with their extensive K9 background, Matt and Sam strived to find a way for their dogs to live clean. Through Hurricane Creek K9, their working K9 kennel and the HCK9 Foundation their dog rescue; Feed the Wolf was born. Feet the Wolf represents a huge step forward in feeding dogs in a better, more sustainable and clean way.

The beef used in Feed the Wolf's freeze dried treats is sourced from a local farm down the road, Glore Farms. The beef at Glore Farms is special. This is because Glore is a small family run farm and the cows are 100% grass-fed AND grass-finished. They maintain the highest standards for their beef and their passion for their craft matched perfectly with Matt and Sam's vision.

Try a bag and your dog will thank you!
